Photo Contest 3 - Summer Holiday
Rules and Regulations
- Photos must fit the current theme of the contest: Activities and/or places which may be enjoyed by guests during a summer holiday at Fern Glen Inn; activities and location do not need to be at Fern Glen Inn but must be publicly accessible (no private property, no private equipment) and within easy driving distance during a day trip from the inn. Eligibility of activities and locations is entirely at the discretion of Fern Glen Inn.
- The contest is open to anyone 18 years of age or older, except where prohibited by law. The inn proprietors and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
- The contest runs until September 21, 2011. Submit photos by midnight EST September 19, 2011, to be eligible. The winners will be announced on or about September 22 on the Fern Glen Inn facebook page, and will be notified by email that week.
- Submit photos by email to contest@ferngleninn.on.ca. Entries will be posted by Fern Glen Inn to the Photo Contest 3 photo album.
- Only digital submissions will be accepted. Photos should be in JPG format and should not be any larger than 4mb each.
- Determining the winners: Prize #1 will be selected by a panel of judges based on composition, style, and depiction of the theme; judges decisions are final. Prize #2 will be selected by random draw of every "Like each photo gets as of 11:00 pm EST on September 21, 2011. The more "Likes" a photo gets, the better your chances of winning.
- By submitting a photo to the contest, you certify that you are the sole copyright owner of the photo. You consent to and give Fern Glen Inn the right in perpetuity to publish, display, post and otherwise use the photo for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, including on the internet, without review, notification or approval, all without limitation or additional consideration, unless prohibited by law. You agree that the photo may be cropped, edited, electronically manipulated or otherwise altered, and that whether or how the photograph is used is entirely for Fern Glen Inn to decide. You certify that any identifiable persons represented in the entry have supplied express permission for their likeness to be used for advertising, trade or publicity without consideration, in perpetuity.
- This offer is void where prohibited by law.
- Fern Glen Inn is not responsible for lost or misdirected entries, or for technical difficulties which may interfere with submissions and/or "Liking".
- Fern Glen Inn reserves the right to post or remove all/any entries.
Supporter Draw Rules and Regulations
- Fans of the Fern Glen Inn facebook page may support a photo by clicking on the "Like" associated with the photo. Each "Like" increases the chances of that photo winning Prize #2. Fans are invited to comment on photos, but only a "Like" will be included in the draw.
- Fans may "Like" multiple photos. Each supporting Fan is entered once into the random draw, regardless of the number of photos they "Like".
- Fans may "Like" their own photo submissions.
- One supporting Fan will be randomly selected to win Prize #3 after the contest closes on September 21, 2011. The winner will be announced on or about September 22 on the Fern Glen Inn facebook page, and will be notified via facebook.
- The winners of Prizes #1 and #2 are not eligible to win the the Supporter Draw, nor are the inn proprietors and their immediate families. Winner must be 18 years of age or older to claim their prize.
Contest Prizes
The winners of Prizes #1 , #2, and #3 will each receive a Gift Certificate for One Free Night at Fern Glen Inn. Valid for one night accommodation and breakfast for two at Fern Glen Inn; approx. $115 value. The Gift Certificate is valid for one night accommodation and breakfast for up to two people in one room of the Coach House at Fern Glen Inn. Subject to availability. Minimum 2-night stays apply on High Season weekends. Not valid long weekends or holidays. Use by March 31, 2012. No cash value. Transferable with prior approval by issuer.
How to Enter
Read the Photo Contest Rules and Regulations [link]. Email your photo to contest@ferngleninn.on.ca. Enter up to three photos, one photo per email submission.
